LOVE THIS SONG...CANT WAIT TO SEE THE VID!!

My Future Wife

From the day that I met you,
To the present now,
It is uncertain when my destiny revealed itself,
Or even how,
The pentultimate moment in my sullen life,
The moment that joy revealed itself,
And I met my future wife,
She abandoned all tradition,
With faith she took flight,
And when she fell from the firmament,
She then became my light,
Through God's grace,
I found a queen,
In her I found more fulfillment,
Than my wildest dreams,
My desire and hunger for her can never be filled,
Love, passion, and loyalty,
So vast it dwarfs even my immeasurable will,
There is nothing in this world I want more,
This goes out to my love,
To the woman I adore.

Introducing Dee Halston!!

Dee, is a fellow blogger as well as one of my besties in the land of retail. His wit and and blogging style will have to shaking in your padded cell. With that said and a face only a mother could love I give you Dee Halston

 love ya much!

Hi there, i'm Dee, let me just take a moment to shamelessly promote myself on this here fine blog. Youtube.com/dav08zxc for videos on some of my favorite models, and youtube.com/deehalston which does not currently have designation but for the moment I will call it a 'men's style' channel.
NAO, with introductions out of the way, I came to Aliy today, and asked her if I could rant a bit to her 2.5 readers(1 being me, 1 being a fake blogspot account made by Aliy to make herself feel better, and 0.5 being a dirty bum in a public library scratching his nether-bits) 0_o*

You see, we both deal with the 'political' bullshit surrounding this retail store of which we are currently employed, and even though we definitely aren't working for a HUGE promotion to department lead to make a whole $2 dollars more, just being content in doing our jobs day to day and leaving happy is hard to do. It gets REAL hard when you are an inherently nice, optimistic, or easygoing person.

Exhibit A: I get to watch one of my best friends at this store, a woman who I love to death, continually keep picking herself up off the floor every time she gets knocked down, because she is working her ass off and her peers (well, one especially) don't make her feel welcome and give snide ass remarks to assert false dominance. Why can one of her peers buy a fucking brand new Mercedes, while this ray of sunshine is stuck with a grinding/clicking early 2000's sedan? They all do the same job, why is she earning half the income as the others?? I'm calling foul. On top of that, feeling pressure to forfeit her spot and having an out of state transfer set up without her knowledge!? What kind of shit is that? Though she is able to trudge along and try to stay positive, It's been like watching a lustrous flower wilt, quite sad.

And when people ask me why i'm different now, why I seem mad/sad and why I don't smile like I used to, I put on my new fake smile and say everything is ok. Why? Because a person can only get beaten down so many times before they start to become numb to it all. And that's when the "Hi! How are you?" "I'm doing good!" crap starts happening. You know who your real friends are because they know your fake smile from your genuine one, and they'll call you out on it every time.

Let me give you my short list of retail dont's:
Don't
-feel the urge to politely smile when we both know you are bullshitting
-walk all the way across the store to stand there with your hand on your hip to ask me if i'm finished closing, when i've been working by myself all night, and I already told you that I would let you know when i'm done
-try to make yourself feel better by attempting to entice witty banter with an obviously not amused me
-keep asking me when are we going to hang out when it's already been a year and we have never 'hung out'
-talk about people and not expect it to get around very quickly
-speak to people and boss them around with an off-putting air of superiority
-expect me to be your little chipper, gets-along-with-everyone nice guy any more
I know there are MUCH worse things in the world, but this is the way of retail, and sometimes we just need to lay it all out there. Us retail workers are notorious venters ;D
Ok, enough with this nonsensical boombastical depressing crap, I will hand the reins back to Aliy now. Let's do it again sometime, shall we?
